Ambassador Club

The Fairborn Chamber Ambassador Club is the “visible” public relations arm of the Chamber. Formed in 1986 by Larry Long, owner of Long’s Cleaners the Ambassador Club assist with membership recruitment, retention and provide appropriate Chamber representation at all of our events including Fairborn Night, Chamber Chats, Ribbon Cuttings and Parades to name a few. Known to locals as the “Red Coats”, the Ambassador Club Committee meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month.

Downtown Fairborn Committee (DFC)

The Downtown Fairborn Committee (DFC), formerly the Downtown Fairborn Betterment Association (DFBA) merged with the Fairborn Area Chamber of Commerce on January 1, 2018. The Downtown Fairborn Committee mission is to promote and preserve the downtown Fairborn historical district. The goal of the committee is to market the businesses in downtown to help make Fairborn a regional food, entertainment and shopping destination. The committee plans, assists and volunteers with activities and events in the historical district. The committee meets on a monthly basis at a different location in the downtown.

Government Affairs Committee

The purpose of this committee is to increase communication, interaction and education between the Chamber, Chamber members, and Government Officials to benefit economic development and business retention. The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee is the local legislative watchdog on legislation that may have a negative effect or impact on local business, commerce or economic development. The Government Affairs Committee also hosts candidate forums for city council, school board and if needed county and state forums to help educate and inform voters.
